Saturday, April 15th, 2023, 1:00pm - 4:00pm ET

In this session, you’ll be exposed to the basics and various styling methods to melt colorful glass rods in the traditional lampworking technique to make beads. You’ll experience all the fun of working with glass in molten form as you’re introduced to lampworking safety procedures and a bit of the history of this storied art form along with a demonstration on ecased beads

All classes will have an opportunity to make about a dozen beads or more with dots, lines, or swipes of color. Students set the pace. Advanced students can work on their own if they wish.

Note: Each participant will be working with a hot torch and molten glass, so please wear old cotton clothes, closed-toe shoes, and tie back long hair.

This is an Open Torch session for a maximum 5 students so that we can ensure social distancing.
