Referred to as ‘meditation in motion’, Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise with mindful movements that embrace the body, mind, and spirit connection. With regular practice of integrated movement control, concentration on body structure and weight transference as well as loosening of joints and development of mental quietness in the present moment, Tai Chi can be helpful in lowering blood pressure, decreasing anxiety, improving cognition, increasing flexibility, strengthening muscle, tendons and fall prevention.

Tai Chi for Health, designed by Dr. Paul Lam, founder of the Tai Chi for Health Institute, are modern adaptable movements for all abilities that can be performed standing or seated. Learning forms (a compilation of movements) can aid in the management of chronic diseases. Connect with your doctor on your ability to participate and how adding Tai Chi to your wellness routine can benefit you. Each practice session begins with a warm-up, engagement with qigong and tai chi movements, ending with a cool down.

Maximum participants: 10
