TAI CHI FOR HEALTH THROUGH THE SEASONS – Summer Practice

Schedule:

Tuesdays 6:30 pm - May 16, 23, 30, June 6, 13, 20

Description: Tai Chi is a martial art form of gentle, mindful movements, sometimes referred to as ‘meditation in motion’. Traditionally the movements were created by observing Nature in action. A series of movements resembles nature’s ebbs and flows. You are invited to restore and balance your well-being each season by practicing various Tai Chi for Health forms. Grow deeper in understanding essential tai chi principles and experience the benefits of ongoing practice. Scheduled in six-week intervals, Dr. Lam’s Tai Chi for Health forms can be performed standing or seated and easily adaptable for all abilities. Each week includes a warmup exercise, qigong movement, learning a new form, and a cool down. The Summer Tai Chi Practice is about igniting our creative fires through growth and being. We will explore the movements of Dr. Lam’s Tai Chi for Arthritis Core Movements. This form is steeped in the Sun and Yang style. Be like a flower, build stability, be flexible, strengthen your core and increase your range of motion, so you can share your beauty with the world.
