A BioBlitz is a biological survey of an area of land that lasts 24 hours. The goal is to get a count of all the living organisms in a particular place. Sponsored annually by the Indiana Academy of Science, the Center at Donaldson is this year's host site and MoonTree Studios will serve as the base of operations and central point for all other activities.

Bring the family out to interact with scientists doing real science and participate in guided tours by area experts . Go on a beetle safari, learn about pollinators, or take a pontoon ride on Lake Galbraith. We will have fun for all ages.

A sack dinner option is available Saturday evening. Join us at night for s'mores around the campfire, an owl prowl through the woods, or help us catch moths and bats for sampling and identification.

  • Tent camping will be available on the lawn.
  • Begins 12:00PM Saturday, June 29, 2019.
  • Ends 12:00PM Sunday, June 30, 2019.
  • If you are a scientist, Sister, co-worker, or someone who would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact Adam Thada directly at: athada@poorhandmaids.org
