Mindfulness at MoonTree Studios
Over 2,000 visitors entered the MoonTree Studios doors in 2023 to learn, grow, express vulnerability, and be nurtured. Within the walls of MoonTree, participants find a haven where they can delve into their innermost selves, explore their creativity, and connect with others who are looking for an outlet. Beyond MoonTree, the impact extends to participants in their conversations and inspiration in their own communities.
When Angela, a MoonTree participant, arrived in Donaldson, Indiana to volunteer she reflected on the values of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ: Openness to the Spirit, Community, Simplicity, and Dignity and Respect for All. She especially connected to the value of Openness to the Spirit, and felt drawn in when Sister Mary Baird, PHJC, welcomed her into MoonTree. Angela said, “MoonTree is a place to encounter our Creator through creation and it gives us the opportunity to co-create with the Creator.”
MoonTree is one of the few places where individuals can experience mindfulness and fearlessly explore the interconnectedness of art, nature, and the Spirit within.
