The next MoonTree Gallery exhibit, "Hope," features the works of Indiana-based painter, Birdie Rossow McElroy.

McElroy, grew up in a creative and musical family in St. Louis, Missouri. She finds creative expression in the visual arts, both as a graphic artist and as a painter. She specializes in major concept design, creating thematic works around a dominant motif – including a large scale triptych for the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana, and “Chamber Artistry,” a painting commissioned by the National Fischoff Chamber Music Association for its 30th Anniversary Year, 2003. The YWCA of St. Joseph County voted her the Woman of the Year for Arts, Literature, and Culture in 2004.

McElroy has had one-woman and group shows in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and the US Virgin Islands. She lives in Notre Dame, Indiana. Her works are collected nationally by individuals and corporations.

McElroy will be present for the opening reception of her exhibit “Hope” at the MoonTree Studios Gallery on Saturday, August 9th from 2-4PM ET. There will be light refreshments for those in attendance. The event is free and open to the public.

The MoonTree Gallery is free and open to the public Monday thru Friday from 9-11:30AM and 1-4PM.
